The Tweeddale blended Scotch Whisky aged 14 years batch for received the Silver Medal in the World Whiskies Awards 2014 in the 13 to 20 year old category.
Of course we have all heard the phrase “can’t see the woods for the trees” well this a perfect example;
I attended the WWA14 awards dinner in London on 20th March and a very good evening it was too. After dinner I listen to the awards and clapped loudly as each category winner went up to collect their award. I cheered and gasped with everyone else as when Sullivans Cove french oak cask won the World’s Best Single Malt Whisky.
We were all given a copy of Whisky Magazine issue 118 April 2014 with all of the Best Whiskies in the World and I had a look at all the winners.
But here I am two weeks later and it has taken someone else to point out to me that we won a Silver Medal!
Aye, couldn’t see it for looking at it.
