The Tweeddale blended Scotch Whisky wins Bronze Awards for BOTH batch 3 Aged 12 years and batch 4 Aged 14 years in the 2014 International Wine and Spirit Competition.
I am delighted to announce that The Tweeddale blended Scotch Whisky has won two Bronze awards in the 2014 International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) for BOTH batch 3 Aged 12 years old and batch 4 Aged 14 years.
Founded in 1969, the IWSC is considered to be the most prestigious competition of its kind in the world, and this year is celebrating its 45th anniversary. The 7th annual Spirits Results and Tasting took place on Wednesday 23rd July. Hosted by the Worshipful Company of Distillers and the IWSC, the announcement was made at the stunning Vintners Hall.
The awards given by the competition are believed to be among some of the highest honours in the industry. Judging for the Competition is unique in that it has two stages; first, the products are tasted blind by expert panels, selected from over 300 fully experienced and qualified industry judges. Then, products which receive the top medals are subject to technical analysis before results are released; this crucial stage ensures winners receive complete validation.
This is the first time The Tweeddale blended Scotch Whisky has entered the IWSC and its great to be able to add this award to the other awards we have already received.
