While whisky making itself is part science, part art, it seems so too is compiling all the components that come together to equal the final product ready for sale to you – the whisky lover, or the whisky curious.
It’s an exciting process from the whisky itself to the glass, the corks, the labels, the tubes, and the outer casing on their own, to actually decanting the whisky into the glass bottles, with the corks in, the labels on, the tubes around them, and these packed in boxes ready to ship.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned when launching two new whiskies while planning to build a new distillery, and searching for yet another distillery site, it’s that unpredictability comes with the territory – lucky we’re fans of the uncommon approach.
So, although we had initially hoped to launch Raasay and Borders in September, we needed to spend a little more time handcrafting the perfect batches.
Now, after many months of talking about our two anticipated whiskies, it’s finally time to taste them…
