RAASAY DISTILLERY HAS YOUR NEW MEMBERS CLUB…
These days it seems there’s little money can’t buy if you have the means and patience to seek out that which you really desire.
After all if you have a spare £100,100 a 1960 single cask Karuizawa could’ve been yours from Whisky Auctioneer this week.
But there are some bottles you’ll never get your hands on by trawling whisky auctions, shops (online or bricks and mortar), or even distillery-only fill-your-own options.
Bottles from the first 100 casks ever to be distilled at the Isle of Raasay’s first legal distillery will never go on public sale.
Na Tùsairean means ‘The Pioneers’ in Scottish Gaelic – it’s a fitting term for just 1000 members who are joining us to pioneer Raasay distilling into the future.
After a regional history rife with illicit stills, legal distilling on Raasay is imminent this Summer and will see us bottle the first casks in the year 2020 at 3 year old. As a member this will be delivered right to your door, followed annually by 4 year old right through to 10 year old.
We know til 2020 is a while to wait so in the meantime you’ll enjoy a bottle of Raasay While We Wait lightly peated single malt – in the style of what’s to come from Raasay – each year.
And after that we don’t make you wait 10 years to taste the whisky in the members’ casks; we want you to discover how our Scotch changes as it matures starting at 3 year old and delivered consecutively through to 10 year old in 2027.
Whisky isn’t the only select offering available to you as a Na Tùsairean Club member. There’s something else you can’t buy as well…
The new Isle of Raasay Distillery will include five ensuite double rooms just for member use and included in your membership fee. Plus you have exclusive use of the Visitor Centre members’ lounge.
Throughout your 10-year membership you’ll stay annually at the distillery itself, accruing nights each year and using a maximum of 2 accrued nights in one visit (subject to availability).
Arguably the best views from any Scottish distillery to wake up to feature from three of the rooms, while the other two gaze into the production facility for the true whisky lover.
With accommodation valued at £150 per night and essentially priceless whisky, access to all this for just £999 (or as little as £55.50 per month) is, well, priceless.
But we’re not stopping there: as well as all this, Na Tùsairean Club members receive an array of VIP offers and invitations direct to their inbox. Look out for May’s offer – a whisky cocktail voucher for Scotch Bar at the Balmoral – only for members.
