The Scotch-jito is our twist on the classic mojito cocktail and a refreshing alternative to the Summer staple G&T.
Whisky isn’t only a warming winter drink, especially with the light but complex flavour of Borders highland single grain Scotch. Exceptional on it’s own with an ice cube or two, or mixed with your favourite artisan cola or ginger, Borders is a great Summer companion. And now we’ve devised the Scotch-jito cocktail with honey, lime, mint and soda water.
Easy to fix at home, the Scotch-jito is your new cocktail for this Summer, make it at home with this simple recipe:
40ml Borders highland single grain
4 fresh mint leaves
3 lime wedges
2 tsp honey (or maple syrup)
Ice and soda water
Muddle the whisky, lime wedges, mint and honey/syrup together in a highball glass. Add crushed ice and top up with soda water.
