Whisky Whispers

British Consul General residence in Toronto with The Tweeddale Scotch whisky.

A Tweeddale reception courtesy of the British Consul General Toronto.

The British Consul General for Toronto, Jonathan Dart held a reception at his private residence last night. I was extremely privileged to present The Tweeddale, pour a few wee drams and tell the story to his invited guests.

We also took the opportunity to raffle a signed copy of Ian Buxton’s latest revised edition of 101 Whiskies to Try Before you die. Ian has included The Tweeddale as one of the 101 in this edition.

I am pleased to say that it was Joseph Cassidy the Sommelier & Whisky Specialist at Via Allegro Ristorante www.viaallegroristorante.com that I presented the copy to when Jonathan drew his business card from the quaich.

After the reception we headed over to The Emmet Ray www.theemmetray.com for an informal tasting with everyone in the bar. I would like to thank Andrew for inviting us to his bar to do the tasting.

This afternoon we will be at the LCBO Kingsway store, 2946 Bloor Street West, Toronto Bloor & Royal York from 4pm to 8pm for an in store tasting. It would be great to see you there.
